Les aventures de Smith touchent à leur fin, notre compilation également. Était-ce un rêve, une illusion ? Étions-nous bien là, ou ailleurs ? Les rêveries texturées, drones déstabilisants et autres field recordings d'outre-temps de ce cinquième volet aux atmosphères particulièrement flottantes et irréelles laissent planer le doute. Quant au personnage de la nouvelle steampunk d'Alister, il échappe à la plume de son créateur pour inventer sa propre réalité au gré de ces 8 instrumentaux-fleuves, derniers inédits de ce projet protéiforme parti d'un labyrinthe souterrain de catacombes sombres et suintantes pour finalement s'abandonner aux méandres éthérés de l'imagination.
